Vaperz Cloud Asgard V2 RDA Review

As a vaper of 7 years who has been using rebuildable atomizers for the past 5, one of my most memorable experiences remains the original Asgard RDA. Combining that 30mm dripper with my favorite strawberry kiwi watermelon juice and feeling the exceptional airflow hitting beneath the coils created an unparalleled experience unlike any other RDA I've tried. This quickly established Vaperz Cloud as one of my favorite vape manufacturers. The array of high-quality RTAs, drippers, and devices that Vaperz Cloud offers is truly a dream come true for enthusiast builders.

When I heard about the release of the Asgard V2 RDA, I was naturally excited and immediately ordered the electric blue version (which I absolutely love). The color is even more striking in person than depicted in the product photos.

The Asgard V2 keeps the same excellent semi-postless build deck as the original. This design makes coil installation incredibly straightforward: loosen the screws, insert your coil legs, and tighten. It's a very user-friendly experience. The deck also offers ample space, easily accommodating large coil builds.This generous deck space caters perfectly to those who prefer larger coils. The increased surface area of these builds allows for greater e-liquid vaporization, resulting in denser clouds and a more intense flavor experience. While designed with larger builds in mind, the Asgard V2 performs admirably with smaller diameter coils as well, providing good flavor and vapor. However, my personal preference is for 3.5mm coils, which I've found deliver the best combination of flavor, vapor production, and ease of building on this deck. The deck's versatility is a definite plus. It's worth noting that the build deck is pretty much identical to the original Asgard. This is a smart design choice, in my opinion. While Vaperz Cloud upgraded the airflow and aesthetics for the V2, retaining the original build deck to me seems like a good idea as the original asgard had no issues with it at all. It maintains the familiar ease of use that made the original so popular, and frankly, why change something that already works great?

Packaging and Build Quality

Upon first opening the elegantly designed box, the RDA and included beauty ring are presented beautifully alongside a manual and a bag of spare parts, including a tool to seal the squonk pin for use with regular mods. One thing I did notice is that a flat head mini screwdriver for the RDA screws is not included in the packaging. The box also contains a beauty ring which turns the RDA from a 28mm into 30mm and gives the RDA a very unique and pleasing aesthetic.

Wicking the Asgard V2 is a straightforward and forgiving process, making it suitable even for beginner rebuildable users. The 10mm deep juice well provides ample space to easily tuck your cotton into the deck, ensuring proper saturation and minimizing the risk of dry hits.

Airflow Design

The airflow system on the Asgard V2 works by channeling air underneath the coils via the Ultem insert. While both versions feature 27 airflow holes, the V2 aligns them differently – a design modification that proves to be advantageous in practice.
